ICON Ag Solutions broke ground on new LeMars location
LeMars, IA - June 14, 2010
ICON Ag Solutions officially broke ground on an approximate
40,000 square-foot building on June 14, 2010 at 11 am. The new site
will be located west of the Highway 75 bypass on Keystone Avenue. This
location will replace its current site at 170th Street. Adam Timmerman,
General Manager, stated that "ICON is very excited about the
building project. The Plymouth County community has been a great place
for one of our locations because of its great stability and support.
The new location will provide our employees and customers with a larger
site that will help to build and sustain current and future relationships."
The new LeMars location will house an expanded showroom,
a much larger lot for equipment, and an overhead hoist to aid in the
repair and
setup process of equipment in the shop. ICON Ag Solutions will
also be adding
bulk oil systems to this location for customer convenience. The mobile
service will continue to be run from LeMars. Breanne Harms, Territory
Manager for John Deere, is excited for the company. "ICON Ag
Solutions' steps to grow their presence in LeMars are a testament
to their commitment to their customers in Plymouth County and the
surrounding counties. Customers are going to notice a marked improvement
in ICON's
ability to serve their customers, and they'll be impressed
with the facility when it opens."
Construction will began June 2010 with a target completion date of
December 2010. The location will initially employ 16 people with
plans to expand their sales, service, and parts departments in
the future.
The company expects to add 8 more positions after the opening of
the new location.
ICON Ag Solutions is a premier John Deere retailer with a team
of specialists working together to help customers select the
right equipment
to meet
their needs and provide project solutions. ICON Ag Solutions
formed in 2007 with its first three locations in Doon, Ireton,
and Paullina.
It later added the LeMars and Lawton locations in 2008.
